Beds
We have four main beds where we grow our vegetables.
Root Bed in June
Here we grow vegetables like parsnips, carrots, potatoes and beetroot. We call them root vegetables because it is the root part of the plant that we eat.
Brassica Bed in September
Here we grow vegetables like cauliflowers, broccoli, calabrese and cabbages. With this type of vegetable we eat the flowers and leaves.
Bean Bed in August
Here we grow mainly runner beans. Other bean varieties are French beans and broad beans.
Mixed Bed in August
We grow all sorts in these beds including broad beans, lettuce, courgettes and squashes.
