Laverstoke Park Farm hosted two very successful courses aimed at Teachers and Heads of Department currently undertaking GCSE Environmental and Land Based Science and GCSE 21st Century Science.
In fact over 95% of Environmental and Land Based Sciences teachers rated the overall day as excellent!
These full day and free courses, hosted by Laverstoke Park Farm intended to:
• Develop practical skills for use in the classroom or on field trips
• Let teachers learn more ways to engage learners through practical activities
• Highlight differences between organic and non-organic farms, and understand the ethos behind organic farming
• Share resources and best practice with other centres
• Give teachers confidence to take learners on farm visits and use them as an effective teaching resource.
